2013 Recipient

Morgan is the President of both The Humanities Club, a group dedicated to volunteerism and fundraising, and Students Against Destructive Decisions Club (SADD) at Belchertown High School. Morgan says, “I have had the pleasure to help so many people from my community and the women of Sudan.” Morgan also has been volunteering for three years at Camp Sunshine. The camp provides families with children affected by life threatening illnesses a week of worriless fun. Her small role brightens the lives of these families. As President of SADD, Morgan arranged for a motivational speaker to speak to students at her school about making decisions related to driving. She organized a White Out Day to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving. Morgan also organized a Clothesline Project to raise awareness against abusive relationships. Morgan states, “I love SADD because of how it opens peoples’ eyes. Not only do we realize that our decisions greatly affect ourselves and those around us, but also that we are not alone in choosing a different path.”
