2020 Recipient

Zoe’s journey with community service began when she started volunteering in sixth grade at Springfield’s Early Childhood Education Center. During her eight years of volunteering as a teacher’s assistant, she helped students grow cognitively and socially. Zoe’s other service projects include participating in Clean- Up Springfield, working with homeless individuals via Feeding the Hungry, leading toy drives, spending quality time with the elderly at her local nursing home, and participating in a weeklong environmental scholars’ program at Mount Holyoke College. Zoe has many interests, and we are grateful that she chooses to give her time to those in need in her community. We are proud to offer her a Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation Scholarship and wish her the best as she continues her studies at the University of Massachusetts.
